iScamtho Core Values

Dignity
We treat every parent, child, and participant with respect, compassion, and honour. Our programmes recognise the inherent worth of every person and uphold their ability to grow, heal, and make meaningful change.

Restoration
We believe transformation is always possible. Our work is rooted in rebuilding relationships, restoring trust, and encouraging healthier patterns within families and communities.

Prevention
We place strong emphasis on early intervention and practical skill-building to reduce the risk of behavioural crises, relapse, and family breakdown before they occur.

Family Resilience
We strengthen the emotional, relational, and practical capacity of families so they can respond to pressure, overcome adversity, and grow through life’s challenges.

Community Partnership
We work hand in hand with schools, churches, rehabilitation services, and community organisations to develop shared solutions that create lasting and sustainable impact.

iScamtho Vision

iScamtho envisions resilient families and communities where parents and caregivers are confident, children and young people are guided with wisdom and dignity, and recovery and prevention systems work together to produce lasting generational change.

iScamtho Mission Statement

iScamtho equips parents, caregivers, and community systems with practical, evidence informed skills and structured programmes that strengthen families, support recovery, build resilience, and restore healthy relationships in homes, schools, churches, and community settings.

Theory of Change

We believe the family is the first and most important environment for shaping character, values, and behaviour. By strengthening the home, we contribute to healthier schools, stronger churches, and more responsive community and healthcare systems. Our approach is guided by the iScamtho 3C Model of Parenting:

Connection: Building the Emotional Bridge
We help parents move beyond control-based parenting toward deep relational influence by prioritising emotional safety, trust, and active attunement. When children feel seen, heard, and understood, a strong foundation is created for cooperation, belonging, and long-term relational health.

Correction: From Punitive to Restorative Discipline
We promote a shift from punishment to restoration. Instead of focusing only on penalties, we help parents teach children how to repair harm, take responsibility, and learn from mistakes. This approach uses calm guidance and logical consequences to build accountability and encourage the development of a strong internal moral compass.

Cultivation: The Intentional Building of Character
Cultivation is the proactive stage of the model, where parents are supported to intentionally shape the values and character of their children. Through story-based learning, guided conversations, and moral rehearsals, families plant the seeds of resilience, integrity, empathy, and emotional intelligence needed to navigate real-life challenges successfully.
